Yes You Can Stop Dieting And Lose Weight By Eating Right

Here are are a few helpful tips you need to know about dieting if you’re one of the millions trying to lose weight.

As you probably know most diets really don’t work for most people. Everyone has unique needs and are different. The diets designed for the masses will work for some people who just happen to meet those qualifications.

Eating the right food is obviously important but it’s even more important for us to learn how to eat correctly. This will help us find and attain our ideal weight.

The most important thing for anyone to understand about is why they eat the way they do. Many people eat out of habit or when they’re really not hungry. They should try to discover what need they’re trying to fill with food.

If they can examine what happened and find a more productive way to fill that need they may not try to fill it with food in the future. The main purpose for food is to give the body the energy and power it needs while eliminating a hunger. That’s it.

We all know this but still struggle with it. We’ve got to stop eating when we’re not hungry. This goes back to understanding the need. Some of the causes of this are: nervousness or fear, stress and boredom, etc.

We think that eating during these times will eliminate the need but of course it doesn’t. And then we gain some weight and feel a little worse about ourselves.

What we need to realize at this point is that a different action is required. Perhaps it’s heading out the door for a quick walk. Or instead of eating a couple of cookies we should drink a cool glass of water or another low cal drink. There are ways to overcome the temptation.

Another reason many of us struggle with weight loss is that we tend to overeat at a sitting. Either we think that food fills the void we discussed above or we just don’t stop before we feel too full. We just love what we’re eating!

Eating when we have a healthy and natural hunger is important and our body is good about letting us know when that time is. If we stop eating when we are full our body will develop a good digestive system and will find our ideal body weight.

When asked how they lost weight I’ve heard several people comment they simply quit eating when they started to feel full. That led to eating smaller portions and then weight loss.

Not eating when we’re hungry and waiting until we’re “starving” sends another message to our body. It goes into a survival mode and causes us many times to overeat. So not eating at all all can be just as bad as eating too much.

McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Burger King, or any other junk food chain are unquestionably a no go. Fast foods / junk foods are very ample in fat and if you would like to lose weight in one week you had better definitely forget about consuming any such foods.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Lose it for good!
This Biggest Loser is about jump starting your weight loss today. The plan takes about thirty days to implement, like the Gillian 30 Day Shred. However, this is a complete makeover, from dieting to exercising. The book really goes into detail but never overwhelms the reader. I think this is one just about anyone could implement. I would recommend it. I also liked: Fatass No More! How I Lost Weight and Still Ate Cheeseburgers and Fries.

5 Stars Makeover your mind, body, and soul.
The Biggest Loser is a wildly popular television show that focuses on a no non-sense approach to a life long commitment to weight loss. With the release of The Biggest Loser 30-Day Jump Start: Lose Weight, Get in Shape, and Start Living the Biggest Loser Lifestyle Today!, home viewers can now apply those same techniques to fight the battle with weight and learn the secrets to keeping it off.

The bases of the book is to turn bad habits into well-established practices and sound principles. This is a month long commitment to a leaner, healthier you. The book does have advice from contestants of the show to help motivate you on your day-to-day habits. Motivation is where this book shines…there is a lot in here to help you take control of your life and lead you down a happier path.

The Biggest Loser helps you switch from unhealthy eating practices by supplying daily meal plans that focus on nutrition and provides you with more energy which will lead you to weight loss and a healthier lifestyle. It also supplies an exercise program that combines cardiovascular and strength training…and you are motivated to follow this regimen while on the diet.

Set within a thirty day time frame, The Biggest Loser, combines practical, effective, and established programs…while promoting healthy living and encouraging daily exercise, with advice from former contestants, to help lead you to a healthier life.

5 Stars Plan your life, live your plan
This book is 308 pages of pure inspiration. I defy you to look at it and not be moved to live healthier. Basically you’ll learn what to eat — and what NOT to eat — and how to exercise. If you are familiar with The Biggest Loser reality show on NBC, this book uses the same knowledge and guidelines from the same experts. It is “a 30-day blueprint for improved health, weight loss and a whole new life.”

Don’t be fooled by the cheesy cover. Inside are nicely designed pages with photographs and lots of color. The food shots, in particular, are beautifully done, and make you want to try the recipes. Advice from TV-show contestants and trainers is sprinkled throughout.

One of the big tips to losing weight and getting fit is being organized; this book follows its own advice. The recipes are easy to follow and the exercises are also accompanied by photos of someone demonstrating the workout.

First you meet some of the Biggest Loser contestants, nine people who had to follow this 30-day plan at home. Each person has a photo, a bio, a quote about why they are ready to lose weight, and a week-by-week diary detailing their progress. Next are chapters introducing the basic tenets of healthy eating and exercising. The guts of the book come next: the “30 days of transformation.” Each day tells you exactly what to eat, including recipes, and what your exercise should be, including diagrams.

Recipes include some real winners: Confetti Couscous, Frosty Pumpkin Smoothie, Vanilla Poached Pears and Fish Tacos.

The back of the book gets a little cheesy again, though, as a few pages are devoted to advertising the Biggest Loser product line of books, DVDs, equipment and protein powder.

Here’s the chapter list:

1. Ready… Set… Jump!

2. There’s No Place Like Home

3. The What, When, and How of Eating

4. Building a Fitness Foundation

5. 30 Days of Transformation

6. Now What?
