Everybody knows that we need do exercise to make ourselves healthy, but not many people ask why. Even less people believe that the optimal point for exercise is exhaustion.

Actually, it is very easy to answer this question and to know where the optimal point is if we can spare some time to think it over by means of our very common sense.

 Origin:  Gather-Hunting

Just think a little bit about the origin of the exercise using our common sense, and then we can find the origin must be that our ancestors had to gather-hunt everyday for seeking food and other materials needed for their living.

To gather-hunt, as a kind of our ancestors’ successful experiences, has been saved on ancestors’ DNA and become one of our instincts in 10,000 years ago. This is why everybody wants to gather or hunt in the wild; especially the younger ones like to do so.

Naturally, this must be the origin or precursor of today’s indispensable exercise for health as required by our physiology.

Physiological requirement

It is common sense that all our complicated physiological functions are operated by our instincts and coordinated one another very precisely. And these instincts basically have not changed during last 10,000 years due to there were no drastic conditions required for mutation of our DNA.

That is why our exercise is absolutely indispensable even if we do not need gather-hunting for seeking food everyday.

Therefore, people gradually become “lazy” and afraid to do exercise. Thus, the abnormal absence of gather-hunting or exercise will mess our physiological functions, jeopardize our health, cause the diseases of civilization, including obesity, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, short life, etc.  (Re #1-4,)

Optimal Point:  Exhaustion

It is well-known that our body is an extraordinarily economical system without any kind of waste or low efficiency. Therefore, any one of our body functions will certainly degenerate if it is idle for a period of time.  This is why exhaustion must be the optimal point of exercise.

Of course, we can not go beyond this optimal point so as to hurt ourselves.

Conclusion

The exercise is required by our instincts and the optimal point of exercise is exhaustion everyday.
